Location of Engine Type/Serial Number and Transmission Serial Number - 2001 Cup
I'm filling out the Tech Inspection forms for PCA (Maverick REgion Club Race at the end of this month) and need to supply the engine type and serial number and the transmission serial number for the car. The car is a 2001 Cup. Will someone point me to the locations so I don't waste time searching for these pieces of information? Thanks!

Hey Toby - just learning my 01 myself so my insight is limited but I found the engine number easily on the case along the lower joining edge facing rt rear tire - started *m I think. Just needed a little polish to see the whole number.

Toby, for what it's worth, when your looking around in there, if you find a three digit number, that is PMNA's number when they rebuilt the motor. If your mechanic ever converses with them they will want that number since that is thier system.

@HiWind - The engine type and serial number were right there on the engine case boss as described. Thanks!
@Surfbum - I found a 3-digit number stamped on the case just behind the idler pulley. Going to check with PMA and see if they did a rebuild on this motor.
Thanks to both of you. Appreciate the pointers.
Car now has its PCA Club Racing logbook. Ready to rock intwo weeks at MSR!!!!!
