Default Sequential purchase and running costs?

Just wondering on costs to purchase a sequential gearbox and also the seasonal upkeep costs? Ball park average is fine.

Well they are expensive....

I sent my '08 box out to Copans for a rebuild when we did my engine. The box had about 20h on it since tear down and seemed fine, just not as smooth as it was early in life. To bring it up to 2012 specs and fully update it was $20k overhaul.

I sent my back up box to PMNA that was a 5-10h box since aledged refresh (2008 unit) that I got used. It was to be our back up box and I wanted it checked out and refreshed so I would know it was reliable. First estimate to bring it up to 2012 specs was $50k.... yikes! A new box is about $36k from PMNA. I settled on "freshening" the box with PMNA and it was $17k. They do run it on a transmission dyno and given that it will sit on the shelf (hopefully) I wanted it dyno tested to make sure it was a perfect spare.

So these are expensive. My understanding is the updated box should be good for 40h of non abuse and cost about $8k to "refresh" then, but who knows. Hope that helps.

K

had a 09 box updated with the wider gears and freshened from Copans for 13k including 1 way shipping to California.
I had dropped it off with him at laguna during the ALMS race
filters are bank but oil is "normal" price
this box had unknown hours and seemed to be working fine just wanted to have it checked and updated
