1997 Porsche 993 3.8 RSR
1997 Porsche 993 RSR , this is an original factory car and comes with two engines. The original engine is currently out of the car and installed is a 3.0 Twin Turbo engine built by Pat Williams. The last time this car was ran at Road Atlanta the owner was turning 1:24's. This is a serious fast car that gives you the raw feeling of driving a 935. There is nothing quite like the sound of a flat 6 Porsche engine that is pushing exhaust through a pair of turbo chargers. I was the number 1 mechanic for this car in 2000 at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Cup Cars are fun but there is major upside for these original RSR's. The 993 RSR's were the last air-cooled RSR's Porsche made. Please check our website, orbitracing.com , for more information and pictures. Every racecar has it's problems and I am happy to go into detail about everything I know about this very rare car.
And this car also has a great nick-name, Pinball.
$175,000
Includes both engines, spares, extra BBS wheels, and some of the parts to bring back to original.

I know this car well as I helped Pat gear it. It's got a close ratio stack of GT gears in it, including our 3 piece mainshaft kit. No expense has been spared on the maintance of this gearbox over the last 3 years that I've been involved with the car, with ratios regularly timed out and replaced as needed.

This has got to be one of the fastest GT cars in PCA Club Racing.
I watched it completely destroy the field (mostly Cups) at Atlanta a few years ago. Impressive...
My friend and I called it "the Blow Dryer."
