Default 996 Clutch Flywheel Questions

The diagram in the 996 manuals seem to show a torsion clutch disc. Was that type of clutch ever used in a 6Cup?

996 116 013 91 pulls up this @ fvd

http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/-/...te_welded.html

Sachs # 1864 483 031

Which brings me here:
http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/pa...-1864-483-031/

Is 240mm the actual measurement of the sintered 4 pad clutch disc?

Did the 4 pad have a aluminum, steel, or cast iron pressure plate?

Did the 996 ever ship with the 140mm (5.5") triple plate clutch?

I've got a Sachs catalog from November 2005, and the largest diameter listed is 200mm. If 240mm is the correct measurement, does anyone have technical documents containing inertia information for this clutch disc?

I've read about the different weights of flywheel, Did the 996's also have 31/11/8.5 pound flywheels available to it or is the difference between the RS LWFL and Cup something that came about for the 997?

TIA
Andrew

Yes it was but was replaced with 5.5 sachs racing do to the pressure plate not being able to tolerate miss shifts and becoming inbalanced.

Thanks, is that as reply to this question? "Did the 996 ever ship with the 140mm (5.5") triple plate clutch?"

Do you happen to know approximately what MY the change occurred?

Late 04 if it was used in grand am earlier if you are using this setup make sure that the pressure ring retaining straps have at least three straps, the stock street stuff used two and this was a problem that resulted in an imbalance if a shift was missed.
