Default Early 6 vs late 6 exhaust power?

Is there any benefit updating from the early 6 cup split outlet exhaust to the later split outlet from the 03/05 cars? Anyone tried this back to back?

Interesting question.... It might be detremental as the later exhaust was a combination muffler/cat to appease the greenies of europe where Supercup runs. If I didn't care about GTC compliance I'd opt for straight pipes and do away with the restrictions althogether....

Early cup uses cats on the individual crossover pipes, and the left bank exits on the right and vice versa, there's a 05 setup with cats that Siamese in the center and then exit each on their own sides. Didn't know if one was better for power or even sound. Have to believe each year was an improvement but don't really know.

The car has the RSR headders and megaphones, love the sound but need to get spec legal. 6 update/backdate are all legal.

I have a muffler if you need one, talk to Doug.
You will be shocked at what PMNA wants for one.

Yes the late exh was good fOr @8-11 hp....not worth the 6k the muffler costs however. If you wreck one make sure to cut in half and save good side to be welded to another good half at a later date...
