Default DB Sound Levels

I am going to organize a track day here in The Netherlands for the first time.
Biggest challenge are the sound restrictions: 89 dB measured Dynamic 30 meters (100 foot) from the track. Could you tell me how much music your cars produce 996 Cup, 997 Cup ?

It's a matter of plus and minus. So we could allow for louder cars, if it's leveled out with less louder cars end of the day.

All info is very welcomed. Thanks a lot in advance

And ........ is there a track day organizer here on RL, who i could PM for this matter too ?

Thanks a lot in advance

.

We've run several 996 & 997 cups and have gotten readings between 102 -105 db at 50' from track.
Sunny, clear day, its my understanding that readings will be higher if you have heavy cloud cover.

We have come up with a system that will take it down to 91db with some Burns mufflers and alot of pipe bending.

I have made several attempts to get reading from PMNA on the expected readings with thier pre silencers but they wont give us any readings, perhaps you can get that info from Porsche Motorsports on the other side of the pond.

Thanks. I have a formula that allows me to put in all expected data that day. It can then tell me if i am over or under the maximum. Will put the above numbers in for now and see how much time the "cup car session" can get.

89 db is very quiet for a US performance car. Laguna Seca in Monterey California has a "brutal" sound policy and allows 92db on track days. These are mostly street cars driven to the track and many get violations. My totally stock 997 GT3 street car would do 93-94db.
