Default Will disconnected oil pressure sender cause problems?

Gang,

2001 Cup - I'm going to be using an aftermarket dash. Can I disconnect the oil-pressure sender and use my own without causing issues with the ECU?

Thanks!

You should be able to tap into the existing sender wires and create a calibration table using the stock dash as your reference. Not sure the '01 has a CAN signal. If it does, tap into that with the dash and use all of it's outputs.

Thanks. Its not CAN, its ISO. I thought about tapping into it but I also have the option of plugging in a secondary sensor...
