996+997 Cars for sale
I've got a few race cars here for sale at TruSpeed.
Fresh 2008 Cup Car, 2.8 hours on motor, 0 hours on gearbox, just came back from the paint shop (white). Stock Sachs shocks are currently on it, car comes with extra set of wheels. The motor was rebuilt by PMNA and gearbox was done by Brian Copan. 192.3 total hours on chasis, light hit in front and rear that was fixed last year. The car was taken to the body shop when it came to TruSpeed to verify it was straight and that was confirmed. Asking price is at 119,00.
Attachment 599588
Also have a 2002 996 Cup Car, black. The car is in good condition and looks great. The gearbox and motor both have around 18 hours on it, still good for another couple seasons. It has Bilstein adjustable shocks, no rubber in the rear suspension, and a bigger wing as well. This car was campaigned in Grand-Am back in its day and has pretty much sat since then. A few track days here and there but no serious racing. There is no reported big hits on the car, a few bumps and bruises have been fixed but nothing major. Price is set at 63,900.
Attachment 599589
Along with those there is a 2004 996 "Koni" car with AIM dash, X51 motor, JRZ 3 way adjustable shocks, 996 Cup sway bars (front+rear), 996 Cup adjustable sway bar link (rear), 996 cup lower control arms (front), upgraded aero package, 2 piece giro rotors, steel braided brake lines, and removed cats. The car was taken straight from the showroom to be turned into a race car, it only has 1772 miles on it. Price is set at 46,900.

Another car just came up for sale, a 2000 GT3R. The motor and axles were replaced before the last time the car went out. So the axles and motor both have around 5 hours on them. We don't have any info for hours on the gearbox but luckily these gearboxes are pretty bullet proof so we aren't too worried about that. Most likely the box will need a refresh within the next season. The Ohlins shocks that were originally designed for this car were recently rebuilt on all corners. It has Brembos on all corners as well. This car has 2 new extra sets of BBS wheels that will come along with it as well as a front bumper. If you would like to know some of the history go to racingsportscars.com and look up the cars VIN#: WPOZZZ99ZYS692094. Since its campaign in Grand-Am it has been used as a club level car and still remains competitive. Asking price is 84,000, car is very rare and can't be found near this price.

As far as spares for the '02 I believe it has 2 extra sets of wheels. The owner might be willing to throw in some others for a serious buyer. Its a great car and am quite surprised it hasn't sold yet.

I believe all the wheels we have are spoken for. I will keep an eye out for any that our clients are wanting to sell but we have a pretty high need for extra wheels around here so I doubt any are going to free up. Sorry that we don't have what you are looking for!
Thanks,

That is definitely the case, all our drivers have 3 sets for the most part. I definitely suggest 3 for anybody that is out to compete. Especially when rain is a factor, 3 is necessary.

Yes, I agree 100%. My plan is to wait until body work becomes necessary and then go the new GT3R or RSR panels to support the larger rubber. At least 10/12 or 11/13. I don't think I can reach my goal of sub 1:20" (wsir) without it...
In the meantime, the bodywork is so perfect now that I want to have fun with it until it becomes necessary. That's why I need another set of 9's and 11's. At least that's my current thinking, always subject to change as the wind blows...lol

John,
We ran 12" rears on the narrow body Cups in WC back in 2007-2009, so it can be done and I still think your fronts are a different offset as those fenders are the DP version which needed a wider outer rim section to fill them out.
Either way, I am looking through out allotment to see what I have.
Cheers,
James
