Default Suggestions: 2004 996 Cup front caliper replacement

Bridge bolt cracked caliper at top so replacing. Suggestions for replacement? AP, Alcon, Brembo or go back to 996 part?

Thanks!

FWIW, one might want to to think about impact of series you race in as far as allowed modifications. If money or restrictions were no object I would go with Alcon.

Thanks Scott - just DE days working toward time trials. Will do some research on Alcon's but price at some point does play into it. - Regards, Hugh

Do you not have enough brake? The 6 piston calipers are pretty good and stupid cheap from Motorsports.

Thanks Bob-

the brakes are plenty, just shopping around. if for the same price, would there be an alternative that was better? My local porsche dealer cannot get motorsports parts, these start with 995 so not a street part they say. I do not like the hassel of having to go through a motorsports affiliated shop when I am a bull headed DYI type and order stuff at 1am in the morning. I also understand this may place the car Ineligible for certain racing but I am not in that world, too slow right now. So just wanted to ping the group who knows way more than I.

Hugh

These are under $500 a piece from Motorsports if you find a kindly provider. All any dealer has to do is register with Motorsports. Crazy. They are the exact same as the street GT3s (only the dealer can screw you since I think PCNA list now is like $1500 each). Good luck Hugh...

Great Bob thanks. Way better price if I can get them for that. Checking on that now.

I get them there all the time for race customers here. Almost cheaper to get new than parts and labor to rebuild...
