Fabryce,

Great stuff as usual. Wish I could make it.

Any updates on the GT2 projects you had going on earlier this year?

Mike,

We will debut our GT2 Cup car at RR this weekend as we finally completed the build. We tested it at Cal Speedway last friday and the test went very well for a car that was completely built from the ground up.

Twin Turbo engine in a Cup car chassis with GMG WC suspension and Stoptech brakes makes for a pretty cool car.......the GMG guys did an amazing job with the build and I am excited to run it this weekend.

It will be in the Group 7 PCA run group.......should be fun.

James,

Best of luck with the new build. A twin turbo WC would be a riot, no doubt.

Please post some pictures. I'm very dissapointed to missing RR this year.

Have fun!!!

PS. Didn't you build a hot rod GT2 street car for a customer? I seem to remember Fabryce posting something along those lines a while back...

James, congrats on finishing the car. I guess I owe you dinner for beating me getting mine done, but you did have a small advantage by owning one of the best shops!!
Have fun this weekend, see you in Vegas.

Dave,

You know the guys that I am lucky to have work for me........they did an amazing job with this build and it was a total team effort! The car is a blast to drive with nice linear power and WC handling......

Looking forward to Vegas as well, we will miss you at Rennsport!

Mike, the street version of this GT2 Cup will be a 4.0TT RS type build, one of a kind and will have a lot more power than this GT2 Cup.....should be an amazing build, hopefully done in 2 months.

James, fantastic results in Group 5 with only the RS Spyders and Mark's 962 in front of you and Dino!

I know you're going to say "we're supposed to be going that fast," but it's a testament to your guys, to you and your drivers that you're "showing off the technology" really, really well! Good luck!

Thanks Peter......

And let me say that Rennsport was an epic event, much more that I expected!!!
I couldn't believe the vast array of cars that were present that had so much history. From the 962's we raced against in Group 5 to the RSR's and 935's......simply amazing and our clients loved racing in this event which supposedly had over 20K tickets sold.

The GMG WC Cup cars showed their mettle out there and our new GT2 Cup was moving this weekend after only it's first race.......qualified on the pole in Group 7 with a 1:26.8 but had electrical problems in the race......with further development, this car should be crazy fast!

Had the opportunity to meet a lot of you in person for the first time and it was great to connect a face to an email.

My guys took a ton of pics and will post them here soon.......

Cheers,

James

The "GT2 Cup" was incredibly fast. On the first lap down the straight, it was passing cars like they were standing still.
