Default GMG Carbon Deck lid for 997.2 GT3RS/ GT3 details

Gents

As many of you may or may not know over the past year we have been expanding our business and offerings and one of the area's we have been expanding is the manufacture of our composite parts.

Here is the latest release from the composite department.


GT3RS/CUP rear deck lid for the 997.2 GT3/RS- GT2/RS and 997.1 Turbo and 997.2 GT3 Cup.

Full aerospace grade carbon fiber- vacuum bagged.
Fully reinforced.
UV resistant resin- can be painted or left raw carbon
Race tested.
Direct replacement part
Useable for road or race cars.
Retains all factory hardware for fans wiring, uprights, engine fan, screens etc.

Direct replacement bolt on part - exact fit.

Factory part 15lbs.
GMG WC- Deck lid 8 lbs

Available as a decklid with out the filler panel or with the filler panel.
Available in two finishes - raw carbon or high gloss as shown.

Fiberglass sure would be a lot cheaper, for a few pounds extra I would prefer that to keep crash damage costs down.

In regards to a fiberglass piece it may be cheaper to manufacture but the deck lid does take a considerable load as the wing element is attached to it and would not be able to be made safe.

Not to mention the additional weight of glass part would end weighing more than a factory part.

We are only interested in building high quality parts that exceed what the factory offers.

I forgot it was structural, CF makes sense now.
