I have done a Manthey 3.9 kit. Its in my 996 but they essentially did the full upgrade to 997 2010 specs + the 3.9.

Motor is incredible- has legs like you cannot believe and a great spread of power across the whole rev range.

Highly recommended.

We have used 3.8 motors in our World Challenge race cars since 2008.....the increase in torque is amazing! The head is where you can make all the power with revs but larger displacement gives you low end torque, something we needed when competing against Vipers, Vettes and other V8's!
