Default FS Sachs 3-way GT3 RS Struts/shocks - Low Time

I'm selling a pair of front Sachs 3 way adjustable struts and 2 way adjustable rear shocks that came off of a Flying Lizard 996 RSR when they switched to Ohlins. They have been dyno matched and appear as virtually new. - $2500

I screwed up on pricing. The fronts are $2500 the rears are $1500. I also have the RSR springs and perches that are rate adjustable on the car without removing the spring, Fabspeed chromoly lower arms, aluminum RSR arms and front and rear blade adjustable sway bars that I can sell with these.

I sold the shocks that are pictured but I have another complete set of RSR shocks and springs that fit 996 GT3 Cup R RS and RSR.

This is a low time ready to race spares package that looks like the parts I originally posted above. The set includes a pair of 3-way front Sachs struts, 2-way rear Sachs shocks, 4x RSR spring rate adjustable perches, matching adjustable PMNA RSR springs with locks, helpers, tops, intermediate adaptors - $6500 + shipping

Mark, Is the adjustable springs/perch setup developed by PMNA or is that a Porsche Motorsport part. Do you have pictures? Thanks

It's all factory Porsche. These came on R's, RS's and RSR's.

There are 5 positions to set the spring on each perch and each change of position provides a difference of about 200 lbs per inch. To change the rate, you pull the allen cap screw, rotate the spring to a new position and put the bolt in that position. The spring has an open coil on one end with a notch so the bolt can lock it in place.

This is a picture of the set I just sold. I have one more identical set like this to sell.

Those sets with adjustable spring rate are very cool, do you know if they fit a 997 cup?

Default shocks

I just saw the questions regarding the RSR shocks/ spring package I have pictured above for sale. They are still available. That's the set of 4 shocks, all perches shown above, helpers, and 2nd pair of alternative springs (higher rate) for the rear - $6500+shipping

I do have a front pair of Penske triple adjustable shocks available - $2700/pair

Thanks for the endorsement Simon. I hope you enjoy the upgrades.

Default Franken14

mklaskin,

I almost forgot about your question.

I found a 1994 Spice WSC body (see pic) to modify and use for the 914-6 project (after finding this body, I sold the 914 tub I was going to use). SCCA is going to allow me to call this a super-production 914-6 if they can look inside and see anything 914 in the structure. It's going to be a super-unlimited car in NASA. I'm going to use a strip of flooring and a trunk badge from a crashed 914-6. I have to make a lot of modifications to the body but it should look a lot more like the WSC Spider cars Porsche ran (won) at LeMans in 96/97 than anything else. I need to do this to get front and rear ground effect tunnels working well.

I'm designing my tube frame tub (because this is a GT car) around Reynard indy car double wishbone arms, push rods, rockers, ohlins TT44's, 997 Gt3 RSR uprights, RSR wheels, 8 piston brembo brakes (from 05 indy car stash). I have inserts replacing the front shocks to bolt the upper arms to etc. The rockers allow for a wide range of adjustments and really nice 3 lb anti-roll bar assemblies etc. With 3.8L RSR power and a G96 gear box, I'm targeting 1500 lbs. I have to make a lot of changes to the body and then pull molds. It's going to include ram air from a scoop between the 2 seats to be ducted into the open top manifold I pictured (a present from the Brumos team). I have all the hard parts, however, it's going to take me a while to get this designed fully and fabricated.
