Default Fuel Pump need for race this weekend

Hello fellow Cuppers and Rennlisters...

I am sending out an SOS and I am in need of your help.

I was out testing Sunday...yes on Easter and my fuel pump died...kinda.

I need part number 996-620-057-92-m100..................................

Testing showed that the delivery rate of my pump is now half of standard specification. If you have a pump please call me or email.

Thanks guys for all your support, but this time... O'man!

BTW, Your pump is likely fine if its working at all. Probable the "sock" on the fuel pickup just needs cleaning and drain fuel tank, wipe out tank well to get any"crud" out. Put back together and good to go probably. Likely got some bad fuel/debris...

Default Update on Pump

Hi Guys, update:

Pump was pulled last night, sock is clean, although some sand in the collector (not good). I replaced the pump 3yrs ago, and although I am not getting the typcial "whine" from this pump, the filter is new, sock good an clean, output is half of spec.

A Rennlister, just sold me a "new" 05 Cup fuel pump, plus I bought one from one of only two available in the country! Yes the GT2 an Turbo pump numbers are the same, so beware gentlemen, only one left in the USA at dealers.

Once again, I can say enough good things about the "boys" on Rennlist...

You rock,

Still I would like to know why???

Some say, low fuel burns them up. Some say under race conditions it is 110% of capacity and burns them up... Any expert opinions out there?

Tks,

RadioActive

Oh, one other note about fuel... I used the same fuel for 3hrs of testing at the track on Sunday, ran flawlessly until the last 15mins of testing and track time, came around the turn and "Wammo" chug, chug, kaput. It would restart, but no throttle response, then stall. Plugged the Porsche Diag Computer in and no faults, nothing. The same fuel was used in two other cars on the same day... So???
