Default 997 air jacks for 996?

Will 997 air jack cylinders fit on a 996?

I have 996 in need of cylinders and I have found a set of takeoff 997 cylinders...

They will in terms of weight. Check the diameter and height and that will answer your question.

That's what I meant - is the diameter and height the same?

Clay,

I looked through all the car amnuals I have and it doesn't show diameters for the 996/997 air cylinders. Do you have dimensions of the 997 units? I can compare with 996 jacks I have.

In case anyone else is wondering....

According to TRG the 996 and 997 airjacks are identical in dimensions. Although the 997s are made by Krontec and the 996 by Sobek. So I bought the set - hopefully they are right!

There was a recall on some of the 997 airjacks, not sure of the builddates but will try to find the date.
