Default Cup and Supercup

I am just beginning a search for my first cup car. Looking for a 996.

I recently located a 2004 996 GT3 SuperCup. What is the difference between the cup and supercup?

Are they actually different models or do they signify something different?

Thanks.

They are really the same cars, but usually we only call them SUPERCUPS if they ran in the Supercup series along with F1 races.

To be more exact, in 2004 all the GT3 cups were the same. In '05 the supercups were 997 and cups were 996. In 06+ I think the supercups had ceramic brakes so they were a little different from the cups.

Cups only go to "10", but Supercups go to "11"
