Thanks G - so would a cage mod re x be enough to stiffen up my 01 or were there other
braces/struts too?

Look at a late cage. Add the x behind the seats. Reinforce seat track mount area, look for cracks near engine blade mounts areas if found reinforce and weld up. Then the biggest thing, go loOk at a 997 cup and copy the cagework going from front shock towers back to front of cockpit cage. That will make a big difference. Note the factory cage is mild steel not chromoly so whoever does your welding needs to know their stuff

Aha thanks - yes found a crack/tear on seat rail at back left which needs doing
