Mooty,

All factory built race cars have vins that start with "WPO" then "ZZZ" which designate them as factory built race cars. Every single car has a full VIN - if there is not Vin on the Tub of a car it most likely means it was crashed at one time and a new tub was put on the car, replacement tubs do not come with a VIN plate.

The chassis (VIN) numbers of all UK cars & I believe, what Porsche call rest of world, (ROW) cars begin WPOZZZ
If there is no VIN number it could also mean that the car was stolen and turned into a race car.
