Default shifter risers and window net questions..

Anyone got any good pics of how the *bottom* of a cup window net is attached?

Anyone know where I can get shifter spacers/risers like this pic?

That's a stock 6-cup shifter and you get them from P-Motorsports. Neil Alexander just installed one in his Boxster so he could tell you what's needed (or Loren at 911 Design).

FWIW, I was considering the same shifter for my Spec Boxster until I actually drove my Boxster last Friday. I think the stock shifter is great and I'm going to stay with that. I also drove the LSD equipped Boxster with a B & M shifter and didn't like it at all....

The bottoms of my Sparco net in my cup car are attached to the upper horizontal bar on either side of the middle section.

JR, I just want those little riser parts not the whole shifter. I guess I need to call PMNA eh? Thanks!

I have a new set somewhere came with my new cup shifter console - we fabricated a alum mount which raised it higher so I only have to move my hands to the right insetad of down so much...

Lmk if you want me to look for them...

I added the riser to my 996 C2, worked great. You also need the bolts as the risers are F-F. If you want a really high shifter, find a B&M Trak-Shifter and it will be as high as the sequential for the ultimate in quick shifting.

I'll post some pics of my custom side net, had it made locally, very cool.

All the nets I've seen , strap to the door bar , then swivel via hyme joint at the rear of the door . And ofcourse attach to the front with your typical 1974 seat belt clip .

TRJ,
I havent used the B&M but have heard from several people that they dont feel right. I guess its a matter of opinion, you can get a cup shifter for $400 and its the best out there.

I must agree with this, I had the B&M on my 2001 Ruf Rturbo and never liked the notchy feel. I loved my Cup shifter, so I replaced it with that and it is awesome. Go with the Cup shifter!

ed you need the retaining clip for the cables it holds them from popping up out of the assembly. it's a small aluminium plate.
