Default Fueling thru Dry Break

I have a fuel cell with a double dry break for the first time. Any suggestions on the best way to fuel the car? Especially from 5/6 gallon jugs. Good sources for the dry break jug caps or whatever the right terminology is?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Stick a screwdriver in one opening for a vent and get the spring loaded filler cap for the jug to put gas in the other hole. We can discuss further on Monday night

+1 for Fuel Safe.

You'll need the double dry break head. One is air, the other is fuel dump. The whole thing is a several hundred bucks, but necessary. If you want to go low budget (and sometimes messy) you and can also open one port with some sort of plastic implement and get a single head jug or pour it in with a regular jug (requires opening the other port with another implement. This takes forever though, it's worth an extra $200 for the double. Seriously, if you're racing $100k cars, spend $500 on the proper fueling gear.

Big socket and a plastic tube connected to your 5 gallon jug. Used it all the time when I raced dirt bikes with dry brakes and no dry brake jug available. I have done it also with the double dry brake on my 993 RSR, no problems.

Guess should elaborate...push dry brake on fueling side down, put socket in to keep depressed, stick plastic tube from 5 gallon jug inside fuel cell, fill.

Sorry to bump this old thread but in the process of buying dump cans for my new double break. Did anybody build a creative solution over the years to vent the air other than the $800 Fuel Safe or $1200 ATL double dry break for each dump can (that adds up quickly)? For example, a simple attachment to a single break dump can to vent seems better than manually pressing it in or spending thousands.

Do you guys also prefer the larger 11 gallon dump cans or 6 gallon with the dry breaks or combo of each?

11gallon cans would be really heavy when full (like >70lbs). All the guys I see have the 6 gallon type.

Hunsaker sells 5 gal cans with dry break head for $369. They work great.
They hold 5.9G. They also make a 8 and 11 that hold more than those amount as well.
