Default 03 Cup Car Advice

First of all it's the very first time I have posted on this part of the forum so a very big Hi to you all.
I've raced Porsche's on and off since 1993 (more off than on) and have decided that next year the adrenalin rush is well overdue. A good mate is teaming up as well but he has an awful lot to learn. (track days only) That aside subject to an expert inspection we are going to buy an 03 Cup Car to run in Britcar and maybe Porsche Open in the UK.
Ignoring 997 and pre 02 cup cars where do we loose out to the pre 997 cup cars in terms of development. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
Where to buy rotors and what pads to use and any other pointers would be a big help. Yours a little ignorant, Graeme

If you're allowed, swap to Motons or Öhlins.

Thanks Rassel it's on JRZ's at the moment but they are on loan from the garage that support the car and they do not come with it.
JM 996RS is a lovely bit of kit but out of my price range on maintenance etc. But thanks.
