Default 997 GT3 - dipstick on cup cars?

Posted this on GT3 page then decided maybe you guys would be the better source of information:

Someone told me that there is a 997 cup car part that you can use to replace the oil fill tube on the GT3/RS that allows the use of an actual dipstick vs that @#$&%*!@# electronic sensor. Can anyone verify or does anyone know the part number(s)?

I'm sick and tired of trying to rely on that stupid gauge which gives me a different reading every time.....no matter how long I wait or anything else....I don't trust it. I'd love to have a plain old mechanical oil dip stick.

Thanks!

Not sure if it's the same as the 996 (I had a cup and have an RSR) but if it is, it's a metal dipstick that you can buy from any dealership for £40 in the UK.
We also keep one on the toolbox though I must say the endurance 3 lights system works really well

Not sure if the tube itself is the same (the fill tube). Thanks for the part number....I'll check it out!

That should be all the parts you need. It looks like all the parts are non-race parts that you can get from your dealer.
