This may be helpful From DE to W2W: What You Need to Know To Master the Transition to W2W Racing - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums

I would also suggest start with the PCA Club Racing rule book on the PCA Club Racing page. There is a description of the application process. Club Race "school" is the first race weekend and can be done at any event weekend once you are approved to attend. You need a medical form completed and signed off together with the application form. Note the application needs a statement on skill and experience from a PCA region CDI.

Hope that helps

I have found if you can hookup with an expierenced and licensed PCA racer as a Mentor he/she can help you navigate the process right through to your first event. Many small details that might trip you up.

Everything is on the website

https://pcaclubracing.org/licensing/
  1. Rookie Application:
    1. 1) Applicants without a current FULL competition race license and no prior race experience may apply to attend the PCA Club Racing School (Club Racing School). The required paperwork includes proof of a current PCA Membership, this completed and signed application form, the license application fee, a fully completed PCA Club Racing medical form (no more than (60) sixty days old at the time of submittal), a complete listing of track days within the past (24) twenty-four months which will include (12) twelve or more days of race track driving training and experience at driver’s education events, time trials, race schools or equivalent events and the required Certification of Experience and Ability from a PCA Region Chief Driving Instructor (or equivalent). Of the required (12) twelve or more days, a minimum of (6) six track days must be with a PCA (or equivalent) driver's education event. Dates, locations, sanctioning body, Chief Instructor, Run Group data, and instruction status (e.g., signed off by instructor after the first two sessions) data should be noted. Eligibility and equivalency will be determined by the PCA Club Racing Committee.

It is pretty easy to be honest. After you send in the paperwork, Susan will call you to discuss everything after that. For your car, read the rules to ensure your car meets the rules of the class. If you're not sure, just ask here.

I think you have been given great guidance so far. Find a local PCA racer that can help you with the nuances will make it easier for sure. PCA will want to get you in, if you are ready, that is the key thing that everyone will be trying to figure out. If you have a mentor, that makes it easier.

Do you have a PCA race in mind to run your first race at?
