Default Holinger gear shift issue

I was wondering if anybody had any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this?

997.2 Cup with Holinger paddle shift fitted.

The gearbox can shift into every gear using the emergency function that disables all shift protocols in the ECU. The gearbox shifts fine and sounds good in every gear.

A new potentiometer (old one was faulty) displays correct voltage consistently but there is no communication to display gear correctly on the dash and won't shift gear out of emergency mode. Is this most likely to do with how the signalling is going through (or not) the paddle shift system?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi trap125,

Have you reached out to Hollinger themselves? I don’t have any affiliation with them, however in looking at your avatar, I had a red 993, am half Scottish and now have a 997.2 Cup (albeit sequential transmission) and feel compelled to help!

Try connecting with them, here is their number, they are based in LA:

Best,

Hi Iain,

Many thanks for your reply and for the info. We are going to try Holinger in Germany first as I'm based in the UK...

I few coincidences going on there! We have identical cars... have you thought about fitting a paddle shift system to your 997? I still have my 993!

Thanks again for replying. Much appreciated .

Best,

Ossie
