Default 991.1 restriction

I am looking for a way to limit the Hp of a 991.1. Has anyone successfully run a restrictor on the 991.1. We have done it a bunch on the 997, which is the same motor, but not the same computer and not drive by wire. A customer of mine had said that they tried and the car went into a limp mode. Not sure if was because of how much they were restricting, or if there is a better way.

Obviously the best way would be to limit throttle opening electronically, but I figure that is completely locked down.

If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.

Thanks

Ed

In my drag racing days, we used to physically restrict pedal travel by way of a block with a bolt on the backside of the throttle pedal. Ghetto but it worked. Just a thought.
