I’ve done several cars but never an engine. Anyone done this and know the process?

He Colin,

In the perfect world it comes with the factor casing. See example from a 991 Cup delivered engine.
Then you need to find the right airfreight company. Send me an e-mail where the engine is at the moment and i'll ask my logistic company to send you a quote.
We did several gearboxes already.

:-)

Got to love that factory casing. Sweet stuff. Mine came in old military crate. On the positives; was designed for forklifts, which helped a lot. Cheers.

Flight case is the way to go, they will have blocks on the bottom for a fork lift and then you can swap those for caster wheels at the shop/track if you don't need the blocks (orange round blocks are shown in the photo above. Nice setup overall for transporting an engine safely.

PMNA has a 9A1 retrofit kit also, mounts the motor in the box same as it mounts in the car, surefire way to transport those motors.
