supercups are bliss, but you best to run side deletes with cup center.

The Cup mufflers were prone to the baffle failure. Sound like there is loose change inside the muffler rattling around.
I had Orbit Racing gut it for me.

It gets cut open, the baffles come out, and welded back up.

At least this is the process I have seen before.

Thanks

Ed

Ed, does your super cup pipe make more power than a stock center? you mentioned you were going to do some testing but I didnt see any figures on your website. I am interested but more so in making power than excessive noise. Thanks

No, we have not run the supercup and the center muffler system back to back to know what power difference there might be. Hard to believe that Porsche would make 3 options in the 991 catalog, the center muffler, the center muffler with side exhausts, and the supercup and the difference would be sound and weight. But, again, we have not been able to do back to back on the dyno to see.

As far as the noise, I run both the center muffler setup and the supercup setup on track. When whit other cars and running the center muffler setup, I have a hard time determining which is my car and which is the car next to me. At least with the supercup I can hear my own car. The supercup is not annoying loud like the aircooled straight pipes are. They still have a tone to them.

For reference, I use a Stilo helmet with the ear pad muff speakers, which does do a great job of reducing outside noise.

Thanks

Ed

Wow I was already considering upgrading to the Stilo for 2025 but that might just seal the deal. On my Bell carbon fiber helmet, ear plugs are mandatory to keep the volume under 'painful' territory from just the gearbox whine while running the standard muffler. Eliminating ear plugs from my prep ritual would be very nice.

Eliminating the ear plugs or radio plugs is amazing. Complete game changer. If you run a radio, the sound is so much better.

Ed, do you know the weight savings with your "super cup" vs center muffler?

The difference is 13 lbs.

The center muffler exhaust weighs in at 26 lbs with all of the brackets and the supercup weighs in at 13 lbs.

Thanks

Ed
