Default Demon Speed 997 Cup Car for Sale

Well,

I am surprised and anyone that I am doing this, but we need to move to a 991 cup so that we can start prototyping and producing parts for the next generation of cars. I had planned on doing this next year, but things change.

To give you an idea of what kind of fun we have had with the car:
2018 International GT Carrera Cup Champion
NASA GTS4 Mid Ohio Pro Course Track Record
NASA GTS5 Mid Ohio Pro Course Track Record
NASA GTSU Mid Ohio Pro Course Track Record
NASA GTS5 Road America Track Record
NASA GTS5 NCM Track Record
NASA GTSU Pit Race Track Record
2016 NASA GTS4 Eastern Championship at Watkins Glen Finished in 3rd place after starting in 16th position.

Over the 2019/2020 winter we went the better part of this car to get it ready for a big season in 2020, but that did not happen. We ran 4 weekends this year, so much of the car is very fresh. Some of the things we did were, all wheel bearings, DSS axle bearings, fresh body and wrap, new GoodAero wing, New wheel center bolts, washers, lock pots, nuts, toe links, upper dog links.

Here is a run down of the car.

2008 chassis
4.0L engine with 15 hours on it. Rebuilt by Musante Motorsports. 480 RWHP on a Dynojet dyno
ECU has been modified and tuned for the motor
4.0L intake (unobtainium)
Supercup style exhaust
23 hours on a Copans rebuild for the transmission
KMP paddle shifter (retains the shift lever, but have the transmission mount too if you would rather go shifterless)
Wider factory 4th 5th gears
Carbon Fiber wide front fenders
Wider rear fenders
305/645 front tire size on 10.5" wheels
325/680 rear tire size on 12" wheels
Wheels are all BBS E88 lightweight
carbon fiber louvers in the fenders
Front canards
997.2 front bumper
997.2 rear deck lid
GOODAero swan neck wing
RSR front headlights and lenses
Cockpit adjustable rear sway bar
Latest generation JRZ three way adjustable shocks
Pagid rotors
Bosch M5 ABS
Demon Speed DSS axles
Demon Speed Toe Links
Demon Speed Upper Dog Links
Shift lights
CSF radiators
E88 BBS Wheels
Straight, true, chassis. No major repairs.

I am sure that I will have to come back to this and add more as I remember a bunch more goodies on the car.

Comes with
Tire warmers
Demon Speed double height jack stands
2 extra sets of wheels

I will be keeping
Lap timers
Transponder
Radio
Cool Suit

I am looking for $89k for the car as it sits. If you are looking to take the car with some of the parts not on it, I can arrange that. Anything from the GOODAero wing to the ABS to the 4.0L engine, but really, the car is special because of the combination of everything it is.

Thanks

Ed

Adding a few more pictures.

The first couple are of the original purchase paperwork and manuals that came with the car.

The second is pictures of the front trunk area. These were taken to show the perfectly original condition of the front forks showing no damage to the chassis, ever. You can see this by the fact that this is the original paint showing its patina from good, fun racing. It is not a re-spray to cover any issues. Also, you can see all of the original spot welds in tact in their 'as factory' condition.

Next up will be some under car shots and rear chassis forks to show that they are as original as the fronts are.

Thanks

Ed
