996 Cup | place roll cage number #
Gentlemen
Forgot where to look for a roll cage number on a 2004 Cup, when the metal silver sticker on the roll cage driver side / front left is not there anymore.
Is it stamped in the cage somewhere else ?
thanks a lot in advance

Your'e right. i checked two 996 Cups inside out, and there is no stamped number. Check
From 997 Cup onwards there is a stamped number and that number matches the DMSB, homologation papers.

All my 3 996 cups that I've had over the years have the numbers stamped at the base of the main hoop left side, you may need to remove the drivers seat to get a good look at it. If the car has been re-shelled it may not have the stamped number but I'm not sure on this

That's good to know. It follows that if a car is re-tubbed, the new tub would have it's own cage #, I would think. It would be interesting to know if that's actually the case. I learn something new here almost every day.
