gear temp. 991 cup 103°C to high
hello
i read the racecon data from the cup and there is a max. temp. of the gearbox at 103°celsius?
the last time it was simelar but i thougt this could be an old value
the outside temp was about 25-27 celsius, we drove only stints of about 20min 4-5 times no races
is the temperature in the normal specs?
please let me know

103°C is not hot for driveline components. I don't know what specific gear oil Porsche is using for the PDK, but the majority of gear oils I've dealt with at work (automotive driveline product supplier) are good to at least 120°C before they start to break down.

The 991 Cup does run hot. When we ran them with AJR they were switched from the old standard Delvac over to Morul and temps cane down nearly 10 degrees. Lubrication Engineers is also an oil we have seen to run cooler. While the temps you are seeing aren’t insane it wouldn’t hurt to bring them down a bit.

i found the problem in the connecting couplers - they dont open in cause of failure - see pictures
look at this - this could save your gearbox - i dont know this!
