2009 cup Gearpot re-clocking?
Does anyone know if the gearpot sensor can be re-clocked to have the wire vertical instead of down?
Does the sensor have full 360 deg sweep? I don't want to just spin it around and hope for the best
thanks

No. The input shaft to the sensor is a cut ellipsoid so no chance of the unit being mounted differently.

Thanks for the reply CRex
I noticed the slot in it and that I could clock it 180 deg but that does not put the wire in the right spot.
I have seen a bunch of gearboxes with the wire pointing straight up but ours is down at a 45 deg angle toward the front of the car which hits the down air line for the flappy paddles.
If you just spin the unit does it go back to 0 every x deg or does it only go so far before it hits a internal stop?

I don't have a spare unit in front of me but am pretty sure it has a limited range of movements. Ultimately it's a dumb-type sensor where x degrees of rotation on the shaft generates y mV of readings. Can't see that wrapping around for good reason...

Thanks CRex,
I guess maybe its in the gearbox builders head which way he points the slot on the shaft. Or maybe its a fixed position.
I flipped ours 180 deg and it seems out of the way enough now to not interfere with the shift cylinder.
