Wanted: Bosch Admin Software
My mechanic is after the Bosch admin software that allows you to zero the engine hours & over rev's after a rebuild, would any one know what software we require for 996 & 997 Cups ?
When he rebuilds an engine we have no way to zeroing the engine hours or over rev's. We have the Modas software & MSA Box 2 to view the engine hours & over rev's but can't make any changes..
If the files can be emailed my email is: jamesgt3@hotmail.com
Many thanks James

It's an ECU reprogram. Like Glen said, that's the reserve of PMNA.

Motorsports always has a hook in something to keep you coming back. Take full functionality of some software, reduce it by 85% and lock down so only new version can access and this is what you get. The Cosworth is 10x worse. There is SOO much you can mod with the standard software. We are limited to essentially shift lights and a couple mile per hour difference on rev limiter with the Porsche version.

So how would you track an over rev on a new engine, if you have a 10,900 over rev on an old engine how can you tell if the new engine has done a 10,300 for example?

Over revs
I believe Modas tracks highest rev and can be reset. This is different from info stored in the ECU for lifetime but might solve your problem of seeing if you have an over-rev lower than 10,900.

You can try VGS, RS Tuning or Manthey, in Germany. But I would begin with Porsche Motorsport DE ! They are incredibly nice and helpful, even for older gentlemen cars.
