997 GT3 CUP drive shafts (Blue, Yellow, Green)
I understand there are 3 different types of driveshafts for the 997 GT3 CUP; Blue, yellow and Green. From oldest to newest and the Green ones being the strongest.
Looking at the parts catalog, the gearbox output flange has a different part # on the 2012 CUP (vs. 2009).
Will the green axels bolt on to a 2009 CUP or do we need to change the output flanges?
I tried searching but only found info on fitting the green axels on a 996, which does require changing to the newer output flanges.
TIA

Only Gen2 Cups come with the correct Flanges on the transmission for the green or yellow axles. So Gen1 997s will need the special flange (we just did the upgrade for a 2009 in the shop) as will all 996s. All the axles with the mating flanges fit all 996 Cups through both generations of 997s.
