2000 996 GT3R for sale - G&W car
SOLD. Asking $110,000 for a very well maintained and original 996 GT3R.
Very few of these cars were reproduced and are expected to take a jump in value in the near future. Not very many opportunities to get an amazing racecar with high potential of appreciation!
The car was raced professionally for several years, ran by G&W. It ran at Daytona, Petit, the Glen etc and had a win at Daytona (3 hour) in it's Martini livery driven by Darren Law and Brent Martini. http://www.racingsportscars.com/chas...ZYS692094.html
VIN # - WPOZZZ99ZYS692094
Apart from the history of the car, it is still remarkably original and is 'race ready'. The car has never sat for long periods of time, so no worries on the many questions that come from garage sitters. It currently has about 2 hours on fresh axles, clutch, gearbox and motor (original parts used) rebuild. The car has recently been gone through in a number of ways, to the extent the owner put a stock Stack dash back in the car and got it working. The shocks (Ohlins) have been refreshed and have about 4 hours on them.
The car is still the factory original tub, all body panels appear to be original and the fuel cell is original.
The car comes with a spare front bumper, 2 sets of black center BBS, 1 set of the original gold center BBS ran on the G&W car (need some refurbishing but have spare rings, centers and barrels), 2 sets of scrubs, 1 set of stickers and a car cover.
I have sold the car before, been around it for many years and even got the chance to drive it a few years back. I've been in a lot of Porsche race cars but I can say this is by far the most interesting and most fun to drive (and fast!, runs cup car times).
Contact me for more info. Rare combination of an original, rare car that is also race ready. All it needs is a period correct livery and it will be a show stopper!
