Pole for 996 cup front bumpers
Guys,
I am taking a pole here. We will be making 996 cup front bumpers sooner than later.
From the factory, the bumpers all came with the factory location in the side for the side marker lights.
Some of the aftermarket bumpers do not have these marker light allowances.
Not having the side marker light locations would make the parts easier to make, less expensive, and less prone to loosing side marker lights (I know I always had clear tape over mine after loosing one or two on track)
So, my pole question is, would you rather we make the mold to include the side marker lights, or have them blanked out.
Thanks
Ed

If it's not a urethane bumper and obviously non factory than there is less need for the side markers. I still like them, but I have a NIB front bumper on the shelf. BOB

Seemed to work well.
I am wondering if I can get them made both ways. Have them made standard with the block outs, but when the marker lights are wanted, they can be added. I believe that something like that is not in the original mold anyway, but bonded on afterwards.
Thanks

The Brazillian 996 cars had the blanked out marker lights. They used a self captivated nut and screw going up from underneath just like the rear bumpers do.
Seemed to work well.

Blocking out the side light hole permits a bolt to attach to the fender closer to the wheel well - more secure. Mine even has a thin piece of metal laminated into the top edge of the bumper that the bolt goes through - more secure x2.
