Thanks Steve. We do have the factory front spoilers or the Joe Toth splitters.

We would like to start making the front bumpers, but we need to get our hands on a great example that we can use as the plug for the mold.

Just a loan, so if anyone knows of one that could be used for a month or two.

Thanks

Ed

Ed, I have a painted spare in my basement. It's the one I got from John a couple of years back, so I don't think it's OEM. I also have an OEM rubber bumper, but it has been repaired on bottom behind the splinter mount.

Thanks Ed, I'll be in touch. I called PMNA and was told no more early 996 cup front covers, only late 996. I wonder what the difference is?...

Primarily it is the headlights.

The late cup has the headlights that come to a point on the inside while the early have the rounded inner insets.

If you were to change to late, you would also be changing fenders, headlights and probably some of the ducting, so a pretty big change.

Early

Late

Our focus will be on the later cup since there were so many more of them.

Out of interest, did PMNA give you the current price for a late cover.

Christian, I will be in touch. I will also hit up John to see what that cover was. I would rather use a CF than the polyurethane since the CF will make for a more precise plug.

Thanks

Ed

Default Bumper cover

Now I am really confused. It would appear that I have an aftermarket cover that is a late style. I will have to do some homework.

Porsche has been sold out for a year no longer make it . I have one of the last ones that motorsports had in stock. Ed I have it in a box brand new you could use it but the issue is picking it up and getting back to me.

Mark,

Why are you thinking it is aftermarket

Steve,

Anyone you know going to Watkins or VIR for the SVRA weekends in September.

Then we would just need to find a plan for getting it back your way.

That would be awesome if we could put something together.

Thanks
Ed

Default bumper

My bumper doesn't have the three vents on the top like the two referenced in the thread?

And sorry, I did not get a price from PMNA for the late gen bumper cover. Ed, I can email them back and get a price.

Ed, I found an early nose in Mar of 2016 at Teile in Poland. It was 953 euros. Was the last one they had. When I received it, the cover did NOT have the center vent cutout. My body guys added that after the fact. I think this was one of the last early front covers. It mounted on the car pretty closely, but not completely (I had to "massage" it into place).

Ed I don't know anyone but I will ask around . Its a big box so they just need to have the room in the trailer.
