Airbag deactivation
Hi! I am installing a seat of GT3 recaro seats in my cayman and I am trying to deactivate the seat airbags and weight sensors. I have called a couple of independent shops, but no one wants to deactivate the airbags for liability reasons. Does anyone by chance in the Bay Area/Central Valley have access to piwis or durametric pro that would be able to help me out? Thanks a ton!!!

No, they don't want the liability. What he wants to do is disable the driver's side seat weight monitor. It will not deactivate the airbag, but it will deactivate the annoying chime that drives everyone bonkers.

I have to correct myself.
You can turn off the airbags. I would not advise it. And to turn off the seatbelt warning, you deactivate the driver's "belt buckle", or seat belt buckle sensor. This makes the car behave so much better, it's worth the price of the Pro software alone. Of course, there is all of that other stuff that makes the software practical too.

I think you'll really like the software. Not sure how to deal with the seat weight sensor though. They may also have weight sensors, who knows.
