Hi! I am installing a seat of GT3 recaro seats in my cayman and I am trying to deactivate the seat airbags and weight sensors. I have called a couple of independent shops, but no one wants to deactivate the airbags for liability reasons. Does anyone by chance in the Bay Area/Central Valley have access to piwis or durametric pro that would be able to help me out? Thanks a ton!!!

dude....just buy a pro durametric or go with a honda ...that will fit your budget ........btw....the indies are laughing at you
No, they don't want the liability. What he wants to do is disable the driver's side seat weight monitor. It will not deactivate the airbag, but it will deactivate the annoying chime that drives everyone bonkers.
You can turn off the airbags. I would not advise it. And to turn off the seatbelt warning, you deactivate the driver's "belt buckle", or seat belt buckle sensor. This makes the car behave so much better, it's worth the price of the Pro software alone. Of course, there is all of that other stuff that makes the software practical too.
I think you can code out the seat weight sensor with Durametric. I can check. We use our Piwis or Autologic for most of our coding and they can do it no problem.
