Or buy a nice 968 ...
5.9 sec 0-60 v. 5.8 sec (a wash in the real world)
240 hp v. 245
3.0 liter v. 2.7
201 ft lbs v. 201
3,086 lbs curb weight v. 2,880 (OK, so the new car clearly wins one category)
6 spd v. 5 spd
~20k for a low mileage near-concours 968 v. $50k+ for a Cayman
Exclusivity of 2417 coupes imported to the US v. a car that will soon be like the Boxster: everywhere

About 968 vs Cayman... it really depends on what you're getting the car for. New cars definitely have their advantages, but you have to ask, does this realy warrant the extra cost up front? So to me it's silly to compare new and used cars.

Jeez, you Cayman guys are a touchy lot.
Of course the new Cayman is a superior automobile. I was just struck by the similarities between the specs of two Porsche models built 11 years apart.
I'll return to 968 world and leave you guys to play with your PASM, PCCB, Sport Chrono, NAV, etc., etc., etc.

Come on RPM, I'm a FEWP (front-engined water pumper) guy and even I was a little miffed by your comments. Look at the contempt your poured into the last line of your last message. I love the 968, but the Cayman is in a different league. And it's not because of gadgets.
On top of that, your 3rd grade math comment is pretty dumb. It should be more like 90.7 (hp/liter) > 80 (hp/liter)...
