Proper Intro - With Pics!
New owner of a super clean 2006 Cayman S. Coming from the 964 world, I wasn't sure if I would get the same raw feel out of the Cayman, however after some spirited street driving I have to say that the Cayman S with its lighter weight and extra 50 HP is still plenty raw enough for me. It's certainly more refined in almost every way, however not so much that you feel disconnected from the road. These are by far the best bang for your buck in the Porsche world right now when you figure level of performance per dollar. I dearly miss the 964, but the Cayman S is doing a phenomenal job filling that hole. I'm beyond impressed with this car!
I find the car to be a natural model by the way........

Great choice. I also have a 2006 S as my first Porsche at age 70. Considered 911's, but drove a couple of Boxsters and became a convert. I've been in love with the Cayman profile since it was introduced so I'm only about 12 years late at acting on my desire!

Lee,
Your story is very similar to mine. 90 C2 got rear ended by a school bus, so ended up selling it. Fast forward 7 years, and I picked up a 2009 Cayman S last January. I've got no regrets. These are great cars.
