Default New owner of a Cayman S 2006

Hi forum,
I am Andreas from Denmark, and I have just had one of my childhood dreams come thru, I am now the happy owner of a Cayman S 3,4 tiptronic from 2006. It drives like a dream, but I have a question about the oil usage.
I do not know what standard is, but as I can calculate, it uses around 1 liter of oil pr. 800-1.000 kilometers. Should I have concerns, or is the within "normal"? I have topped it of with 0W-40 after talking to Porsche in Denmark.
It has 140.000km on the clock.

What would you recommend?

Looking forward to hear your feedback

Best regards, Andreas

I think it is not normal. Maybe you should go for service?

Dear Andreas,

Welcome to the Porsche forums. You've posted your message in a DIY section for CAYENNES - which are not the same as your Cayman.

I'll move this to the Cayman subforum. In the future please take note of what forum you're posting in.

I was going thru ~ 1 liter every 3,000 miles and when I was having some track prep mods done one of the things I did was change to the Motorsports Air Oil Separator. Mechanic said the stock AOS was bad and since changing to the Motorsport AOS I have not burned any oil.
