Default Just came in the back door with a used Cayenne S...

It's a 2006 with 39,XXX miles, and lightly optioned, but good enough for our needs.

Thank God I have the Cayenne Quick Reference Guide....there is a lot to learn. Wifey needed a car and this one popped up. I have heard there are the three (3) points that need to be monitored:
1. Drive shaft bearing
2. Coolant pipes
3. Is the a wiring loom problem?

I see a number of booklets, but nothing labeled "Owners Manual"....there must be one, correct?

The car did have a PPI and it passed.

I do have a 12,000 mile warranty on the car...really looking forward to getting to know this car. My 993 is much simpler, no Porsche Communications Management...that thing is scary.

Smile Let me answer my own question...

There IS a substantial Cayenne S Owners Manuel. I just ordered one from Sunset. $30...worth every penny. I can hardly wait to get my its on it.

Welcome. Manuals are available from Sonnen or Suncoast. They are pretty thick (05 CTT is 367 pages) and full of useful stuff.

And there are a variety of issues.

Cardan shaft (it's the bearing support that goes), Coolant pipes, Lower Control Arms, Fuel pumps, water pump, all covered on here.

The wiring harness issue that I know of is in the headlight. Search "Dipped Beam" and you'll find it.

Got any pics? Yes, we know what an 06 CS looks like. We don't care. We want to see yours.

Sweet find. The 2006 CS had the least amount of problems. However, be on the ready to tackle the Cardan Shaft(see my fix), Coolant Pipes, and other minor niggles.
