Default Noise at start up, 2006 S

I have a 2006 Cayenne S. It has been making a noise at start up intermittently. I really can't describe the sound but I was able to catch it on my phone. It is not very loud on the video but is very noticeable in the cabin. I have a feeling it is the starter but I don't really want to start replacing parts until I find the one making the noise. Help would be much appreciated. Here is a link to my youtube video:

You'll hear folks describe that sound as a kazoo. It is the sound of the starter bendix gear disengaging too slowly.

Bottom line, it may or may not be an issue in the future. Mines been doing it for four years. Intermittent and a little more frequent in cold weather.

My plan is to hold off on replacement until it starts to get worse or changes in some way that makes me think its failure is imminent.

A kazoo would be the right way to describe the sound. Thanks for the help!
