Can't remember if you have a stick or Tip but that's .9 seconds faster than Porsche claims for the V6 6speed and 1.2 seconds faster than they say an auto V6 P!g will do. That's unbelieveable! No, I mean really, that's unbelieveable. What was your timing methodology? Were you going downhill? (just kidding.... ) Seriously, I'd never "dog" the V6, and it's hardly a bastard stepchild, but I just don't see how it can be that fast. There's a given amount of weight and only so much horsepower and it's hard to argue with physics.....

BTW, for comparison, the Zero to 60 Times web site tested a 2011 V6 Cayenne at 7.3 seconds which tracks almost exactly with Porsche factory specs.

Not true at all.
That VW engine is an excellent design with quite a bit of history behind it.
(and of course it doesn''t crack its coolant tubes and leak everywhere like the "non bastard stepchild").

That having been said, I wouldn't even put the engine in the same disussion as the Mezger M64/GT1 derivatives ... perhaps the greatest production engine ever designed and built ... a remarkable design.

I think you will some marginal improvement over the stock times if you turn PSM off. I havent tested it (pepper still to be built) but I understand that this forces the car to start in 1st gear as opposed to typical 2nd gear and results in slightly faster acceleration off the line. But I would be surprised about this much time savings.

 

You are correct.
PSM (Please Save Me) counteracts the effects of the transmission's 'adaptive grandmother mode' shift points.

Actually, a 2011 V6 Cayenne with PSM Off is quicker from 0-60 than a GT3RS
