It would probably be quite useful for your wife...

IMHO a rear parking camera might be better suited for this situation.
Or get an Ford Excursion, like my bride drives...you can back into and over something (like a Smart car) and never even feel a bump.....no need for park assist or rear camera.

I have the park assist and it comes in handy. What REALLY comes in handy if one is parking where there are windows in the building parallel to your spot that you can use as a mirror. The P company has not figured out a way (yet) to charge for that!

Um, she has a backup camera now. I want something that beeps and lights flash ect...
She "touched " my sons car the other night in our driveway.I did not yell, I got a beer out of the garage fridge and went back in the house.
I think you have to look at the little screen for the back up camera to help.

At first, I thought the park-assist was less useful than the back-up camera on the wife's Lexus. However, after getting used to it, I actually find it more valuable, though it may just be a matter of what you get used to. I find that the fish-eye distortion of the back-up camera makes me TOO conservative about how far I can back up. On the other hand, if she can ignore the little screen, she may well learn to ignore the beeping and flashing, too.

Park assist is great - loved it on the Cayenne (had no backup camera) have it on the Grand Cherokee and use it all the time (never use the camera unless I'm hooking up the tow hitch)....
Have it on the 911 as well - Luv It!!!
