Camera Car Cayennes ...
Take a look at Pursuit Systems Inc.
website . They've modified several Cayenne Turbos with external camera apparatus for filming.
RedlineTV aired a segment on Camera Cars which shows the CTT in action ... here is a
link to the video on YouTube.

Hmmm ... I just checked both links, and both work. Are you being watched by Big Brother?

I remember reading somewhere that the Cayenne was THE choice by camera crew in filming high speed car chases. I've spotted a few while watching 'Making of" segments on various DVD movies. Does this still hold true today?

I guess that answers my question. Thanks McQueen!
A lot of Gen 1 Cayennes but so far, no Gen 2's.

I love how the entire car is blacked out, except for the crest.

I saw one filming a Ford commercial in downtown Portland last year. It was pretty cool watching them film with it.

I can't imagine whey they would need a "facelifted" cayenne for what they do with them.
I'm sure its just cheaper and easier to use gen 1 and mod them if they need more power.

Great write-up and history on these special machines in the January '11 edition of Panorama.
