Default Anyone know this Cayenne? Whats the story?

Considering purchasing this GTS: https://delaware.porschedealer.com/i...etallic+933544

Dealer telling me it a one owner car but the auto check shows it was at auction 10/2016...

Is the dealer hiding something? Can they do this?

Don't go by CarCheck. Get the full Carfax, instead. Technically, dealer counts as "second owner."

It may have been a Porsche Cars NA executive car or a demo vehicle. Looks like an OK low mileage vehicle. Not heavily options according to their specs. Can't tell much since the photos are rather small. Will the dealer CPO it?

It is not CPO'ed... Dealer does not want incur the cost.. Is that bad? Factory warranty is valid correct? Anything else to look out for before I pull the trigger?

The dealer isn't giving the car away - and adding 2 more years of warranty to the remaining 1 to 2 years of factory warranty certainly has value to you. The car should be good enough that it will whiz through the certification checklist - it has no miles on it. If it doesn't - you'd certainly want to know the reason why. CPO costs the dealer about $1500-2000 and any costs incurred to bring it up to standards required. You may also want to inquire on the service history of the vehicle - and ask to see the service records. Oil change is due every 10,000 miles OR 1-year, whichever comes first. Brake fluid flush is a 24-month thing - starting with the date the vehicle was manufactured (different from the in-service date.) And what IS the in-service date? If it was an early 2016, it could well be mid-summer of 2015 - meaning there isn't a whole bunch of factory warranty left.

The not wanting to CPO it sets off warning bells for me. At the price they're asking, I'd want CPO and all service history. I'm sure they know the history of the car - but getting them to share it with you is the problem. If the dealer calls whoever the servicing dealer was - they should be able to get the service history. Any warranty/recall items they can look up right on their computer linked into Porsche Cars NA's computer.

Not wanting to CPO at that price seems odd. Maybe there is an issue and Porsche won't CPO the car. I am surprised that it doesn't have more options...particularly that it doesn't have 14 way seats.

If you look at the listing carefully - there is a lot it doesn't have. It has air-suspension and adjustable damping, but it's 8-way seats, nothing special in the audio (10 speakers tells me it's the standard system), no sunroof or no panorama (other Cayennes with pano sunroofs they're selling there are photos of the pano..) I'd love to run the VIN# through one of the sticker generators and see what new sticker price on it was. In another Cayenne ad they have - another low mileage one - they claim "We are blowing out our in house fleet. These cars are from our corporate fleet." - That one https://delaware.porschedealer.com/i...7+Black+776307 also no mention of CPO - but note the pano-roof picture.

If it was the salesperson your offer is (with history too):
70000 with CPO out the door

Moving this over to the 958 section.. since that's what this is - and there might be someone who knows this vehicle or dealer over there..

That's probably the least optioned Cayenne I've ever seen.. the original warranty is good to 8/20 - or 50,000 miles. I'd still want it CPO'd.
