Intake valves all closed ? - Cleaning procedure ?
Hey,
I just removed my intake to do HPFP - and it seems like all intake valves on 8 cylinders are in closed position? is that possible I was under impression that some will be always open ?
And what chances that engine stopped on close intake valves lol ?
Does anyone know official porsche procedure for cleaning intake valves ?
Thx

Hey - dunno if there is an official Porsche procedure, but one way of doing it is "walnut shell blasting" - think of sand blasting, but done with ground up walnut shells. I'm sure if you Google it - lots will turn up. I've also heard of people soaking the back of the valve with something like Techron, letting it sit and then scraping it off with a blunt tool (you don't want to scratch the valve..) and vacuuming out the remains. Since your Cayenne is down for the count, getting it to a place that can do walnut-blasting sounds unlikely. Hopefully some members may have alternative suggestions.
