Default 05 CTT water pump replacement

Indy charged me $1500 to replace water pump, belt, pulley and coolant. Is that a reasonable price for an Indy?

Thanks

Nope. I paid $550/complete for new LASO water pump, Continental Serpentine Belt and OEM Porsche Pulley, with Mobile Tech with all the right tools. Three hours later....I'm back on the road.

Did you replace just one pulley? If so which one?

I think you have to tell them the rest of the +$1,600 story.. I think yours turned out being the initial $550 + $1,600 to fix what the mobile tech screwed up = $2,150? That makes the original quote being asked about sound a lot more reasonable.

As long as the same thing doesn't happen with the Indys work. I recommend doing the work yourself whenever possible.

Yes just the one plastic pulley that is attached to the water pump.

No. I paid 1100 at the dealer for a new water pump and coolant replacement. That price included a new Macan as a loaner for the day.

The charge seemed fair to the workshop since your CTTs MSRP was north of $100K.

They probably thought it was a bargain.
