Default 996 3.4 - pops & burbles possible?

Just wondering if there exist a way to make my 1998 996 3.4 pop and burble like many modern sporty cars.

I drove a mini JCW yesterday and when you put it in trackmode the mapping changes and the car really bangs when releasing the gas pedal, as well as a short rev when downshifting. I love that haha.

Anything possible...remapping?

The pops on overrun are from unburnt fuel in the exhaust. It's heated but there's no oxygen for the reaction to take place. Once it hits the air near the tail pipe it ignites and you get that pop and burble.

There are MANY ways to create this effect. Two options are to remap with a richer mixture or remap so when you are off throttle fuel is still added. I don't know about 996s but the 997 cuts fuel in the DFI off throttle. Some remap to keep fuel going a few revs off throttle to get that effect.

Google is your friend too. If you search there are ways to do it.
